I met Barry in 2006, friended quickly thereafter--for Barry was an uncommon fellow with whom you could easily strike up a friendship.  I and others were thrilled to work together amicably on several of his endeavours. 

 

 Memories of Barry:  His warm, loving sense of humour; His vision for all -people- (not only "men") to develop or enhance camaraderie; His Cal Com Men and other Camps--where we could be ourselves with each other!  But mostly, his being a real, down-to-earth, approachable mensch.

01:05:03    Jason Fritze:    I can only imagine how many lives this amazing man improved.  Barry perhaps saved my life.  He provided a safe space through CMG and a grief group for gay men.  The loss of my partner to suicide after moving to CA from out of state left me very alone and adrift.  His group helped me get back on track and find the light again.  He had such kindness and empathy.  Thank you, Barry. 💜

He so loved this community and often spoke about the wonderful experiences you were creating together.
